Running Assessments

Who are running assessments for?

Running assessments are for anyone who enjoys running and who would like to:

Run pain free
Train with more intensity and volume
Learn more about their body and the way they run

Consistency is key

It makes sense! Regular training without getting injured will ultimately improve your running fitness and capabilities.

What is involved with a running assessment?

You wear your usual running gear and shoes. We have a chat about you and your running goals, discuss injury history, and how running fits into your lifestyle.
We perform a thorough musculoskeletal screening and assess range, flexibility, strength, control of movement and endurance capabilities in running-specific tests.
We have a great Woodway treadmill for you to run on. Alternately, you can run outdoors if you prefer.
Once you’ve found your rhythm, we use video footage to analyse your running style. Wearable tech Runeasi can be worn to provide data on your running efficiency and measures pelvic stability, asymmetry, ability to absorb impact, and other running-related metrics.
You will receive a report with findings and exercises from your screening, metric data from Runeasi and an analysis of your running from the video footage.
This gives an insight into your running and how it can be improved to make you a stronger runner.
